Bank Robbery Suspect Sought by FBI: Lunch Buddy Bandit May Be Responsible for Up to 11 Dallas Robbery Offenses

The Dallas FBI Violent Crimes Task Force and Dallas Police Department are requesting the public’s assistance to identify the suspect responsible for up to 11 bank robbery offenses in Dallas, Texas. Since December 18, 2014, the “Lunch Buddy Bandit” has robbed, or attempted to rob, financial institutions around lunchtime. The most recent robbery occurred on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Capital One Bank branch at 4111 Gaston Avenue in Dallas, Texas.

In most instances, the suspect verbally demands money from the teller and, after receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, flees the location on foot. At one robbery location, witnesses observed the suspect leaving the area in a light-colored Chevrolet Impala with a sunroof, tinted windows, and spoiler on the trunk. While the subject has indicated he had a weapon, no one has been physically injured to date.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 25 to 35 years old, approximately 5’7” to 5’10” tall, with an average build. His hair appears to be close-shaved, and he may have a receding hairline; he also has a close-shaved beard or goatee. He wears a dark hoodie, dark pants, and sunglasses during most of the robbery offenses. He has worn a variety of hats including a dark beanie-style cap with a light-colored logo, and baseball-style caps with logos ranging from the Phoenix Suns to the San Antonio Spurs.

The suspect is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is urged to call the Dallas FBI at 972-559-5000 or the North Texas Crime Stoppers tipline at 1-877-373-TIPS (8477). A reward is being offered for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the suspect.
