Why is the CVE website not loading on the computers of my school or organization?

The most likely reasons are:

  1. Your web browser (Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.) is out of date. The Don’t Be a Puppet website works best in the more current versions of web browsers. Contact your IT administrator and ask that the browser be updated.
  2. Your computer firewall or security features may be blocking access to the site. You can check this by going to the settings page or tab in your web browser and clicking the “security” link.

Why won’t the YouTube videos play on our computers?

Some schools and organizations block the YouTube website on their computers. Contact your IT administrator and request that the FBI’s YouTube channel be unblocked.

Why is the site stalled or stuck?

You may need to refresh the web browser’s cache. One way to do this is by right clicking the browser screen and selecting the “Refresh” option in the dropdown menu. Another way is to click the refresh button in your browser menu, which may be near the URL box. The refresh button looks like an arrow forming a clockwise circle.

Why isn’t the site displaying correctly on my mobile device?

The site was built for a desktop computer experience. Some devices may not display certain sections of the site properly.
