Macon County Man Sentenced on Federal Firearms Charge

ST. LOUIS, MO—Steven Robert Judy, 54, Callao, MO, was sentenced to 15 years in prison involving his possession of a firearm as a previously convicted felon on June 5, 2014, in Randolph County, Missouri.

According to court documents, Moberly Police Department officers responded to Walker Automotive located at 1015 West U.S. 24, Moberly, Missouri, in an attempt to take Judy, who had active felony warrants, into custody. After a brief foot pursuit, Judy was detained. A search of his vehicle revealed a firearm and drug paraphernalia.

Judy previously pleaded guilty to one felony count of being a felon in possession of a firearm and appeared today for sentencing before United States District Judge Carol E. Jackson.

This case was investigated by the Moberly and Macon Police Departments, Northern Missouri Drug Task Force, and the Kirksville Office of the FBI.
