Arrest of Wilfredo Hernandez Massa

SAN JUAN, PR—Special Agent in Charge Douglas A. Leff of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) San Juan Field Office announced the arrest of Wilfredo Hernandez-Massa.

Hernandez-Massa was charged under a Complaint signed on September 18, 2019 with violations to Title 18, U.S.C, Section 1951(a) (Interference with Commerce by Robbery), Title 18, U.S.C, Section 924(c)(1)(A)(ii) (Brandishing a Firearm During and in Relation to a Crime of Violence), Title 18, U.S.C, Section 2119(1) (Carjacking), and Title 18, U.S.C, Section 922(g)(1) (Felon in Possession of a Firearm). Hernandez-Massa was arrested without incident on September 17, 2019 in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, by members of the Caguas Intelligence Division of the Police of Puerto Rico.

This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney (AUSA) David Henek and is being investigated by the FBI.
