FBI Seeks Public Assistance in Recovery of Stolen Firearm

SAN FRANCISCO—The FBI’s San Francisco Field Office is seeking information leading to the recovery of a stolen firearm, magazines, and ballistic vest. The items were taken from an FBI special agent’s vehicle by an unknown suspect or suspects between 6:00 p.m. on January 8, 2017 and 10:00 a.m. on January 9, 2017 in Concord, Orinda, or Lafayette. The following items were stolen:

  • H&K 10mm MP5
  • Three magazines
  • One ballistic vest

The FBI, in partnership with the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office, is working to locate and recover these items in the interest of public safety.
