San Diego Police Department and FBI Seek Public’s Assistance to Identify Armored Vehicle Robbers
The San Diego Police Department and the FBI are seeking the public’s assistance to identify two unknown males responsible for robbing an armored vehicle courier at the Fashion Valley Mall at 7007 Friars Road in San Diego, California, on Friday, May 2, 2014.
On Friday, May 2, 2014, at approximately 3:00 p.m., two unknown males robbed a Dunbar armored vehicle courier at the Fashion Valley Mall at 7007 Friars Road in San Diego, California.
At the time of the robbery, the courier was returning to the armored vehicle when he was attacked from behind by the two robbers. The first robber forced the courier to the ground, and as the courier was trying to get up, the robber pressed a stun gun to the left side of the courier’s face and shocked him. The second robber picked up the bag and both robbers ran into a nearby parking structure. The robbers were last seen getting into a gray four-door Toyota Tundra pickup and fleeing the area.
The first robber was described as a Hispanic male, wearing a black baseball cap, gray sweater, and dark pants. The second robber was described as a Hispanic male wearing a dark heavy jacket, blue shirt, and dark pants.
