FBI and San Diego Police Department Seek the Public’s Assistance to Identify U.S. Bank Midway Robber

The FBI and San Diego Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the unknown male responsible for robbing the U.S. Bank located inside the Vons grocery store at 3645 Midway Drive in San Diego, California, on Tuesday, September 8, 2015.

On Tuesday, September 08, 2015, at approximately 12:14 p.m. the U.S. Bank located inside the Vons grocery store at 3645 Midway Drive in San Diego, California, on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 was robbed by an unknown male (hereinafter referred to as the robber).

At the time of the robbery, the robber approached the teller and presented a demand note for cash. The demand note written on a bank deposit slip, demanded specific denominations and stated he would shoot the teller if he did not get any money. The robber verbally repeated the threat to shoot the teller if he did not get all the teller’s money. After receiving a sum of money, the robber left the area of the bank. No injuries were reported.

Witnesses described the robber as follows:

Sex: Male
Race: Hispanic or Black
Height: Approximately 5’7” tall
Build: Heavy
Weight: Approximately 250 pounds
Age: Late 40s or early 50s
Clothing: Green long-sleeved shirt, khaki shorts and sunglasses with white plastic frames
