FBI and San Diego County Sheriff’s Department Seek Public’s Assistance to Identify US Bank Robber
The FBI and the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify an unknown male responsible for robbing the U.S. Bank branch located inside the Albertsons grocery store at 9650 Winter Gardens Boulevard in Lakeside, California, on Wednesday, April 30, 2014.
On Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at approximately 3:30 p.m., an unknown male robbed the U.S. Bank branch located inside the Albertsons grocery store at 9650 Winter Gardens Boulevard in Lakeside, California. According to witnesses, the robber entered the front doors of the grocery store and stood in line for the bank. When the suspect approached the teller counter, he presented a note and demanded money. The note indicted this was a robbery and that the robber had a gun. No gun was displayed. After receiving a sum of money, the suspect left the grocery store through the same front doors. No one was injured during the robbery.
The suspect was wearing a fake beard to disguise his face. He also wore a large cowboy hat with a large red and white striped band.
Witnesses describe the robber as follows:
- Sex: Male
- Race: White
- Age: Approximately 40 years old
- Height: Approximately 5’10” to 6’0” tall
- Weight: Approximately 175 pounds
- Build: Thin
- Clothing: orange and blue plaid, long-sleeved shirt; dark-colored pants; cowboy hat with red and white striped band; fake beard
- Tattoos: Several tattoos
- Weapon: None displayed but threatened in a note
