FBI Richmond Assists Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office with 2017 Homicide Investigation

FBI Richmond is assisting the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office in their investigation of a homicide that occurred in 2017 in Deltaville, Virginia.

On July 11, 2017, the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office received a request to conduct a welfare check on Margaret “Peggy” Thornton Lammers, whose last known contact with anyone was on the afternoon of July 10th.  Peggy Lammers was found deceased, on July 11th, by Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office deputies at her family’s vacation home on Stove Point in Deltaville, Virginia.  Mrs. Lammers died of blunt force trauma.

FBI Richmond and the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office requests anyone with information about Mrs. Lammers death, to include people she was known to communicate with or any suspicious activity occurring near the property around that time period, to contact investigators.
