Local FBI Personnel Mentor Youth
The FBI Pittsburgh Field Office is teaming up with Big Brothers Big Sisters to help mentor youth in the Pittsburgh area.
It’s called the Bigs in Blue program. It allows FBI personnel from supervisors to agents to professional staff to mentor youth in our area. The goal of the nationwide program is to connect the kids with law enforcement serving their area and build strong, lasting relationships.
Right now, there are 15 local Big and Little (fifth grade) pairs in the program that lasts from January to May. We plan to grow and continue this program for the next school year. It also gives FBI personnel the chance to learn from the kids. This opportunity allows the kids and their mentors to have an open dialogue about what’s going on in their lives.
FBI Pittsburgh is proud to partner with Big Brothers Big Sisters for this program.
