Robert Johnson Named Special Agent in Charge of Pittsburgh Division

FBI Director James B. Comey has named Robert Johnson as the special agent in charge of the Pittsburgh Division. Mr. Johnson most recently served as the deputy assistant director of the International Operations Division.

Mr. Johnson joined the FBI in 1995 and was first assigned to the Houston Division. He has worked various investigative matters including counterterrorism and violent crimes, and has served on extended overseas assignments for the FBI in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Germany.

Throughout his career, Mr. Johnson has held leadership positions in the Houston Division, the Counterterrorism Division, the Pittsburgh Division, the International Operations Division, and as the legal attaché to Islamabad, Pakistan and the deputy legal attaché to both Baghdad, Iraq and Kabul, Afghanistan.

Mr. Johnson will assume this new role in mid-August.
