As part of the FBI’s commitment to attract highly skilled and diverse talent, the FBI Pittsburgh Field Office will host a virtual Diversity Agent Recruitment Event on August 30, 2022. The events are part of an initiative aimed at reaching applicants with a variety of backgrounds to more fully diversify the FBI. The FBI values and leverages differences, opinions, and perspectives to build a workforce that reflects the communities we work to serve and protect.

Threats in our nation have become increasingly more complex and global. Having individuals with a wide variety of backgrounds, and knowledge of cultures and languages helps us better understand and engage the diverse public we serve. FBI Special Agents will be at the event to discuss the opportunities available. This recruiting campaign is open to citizens of the United States of all backgrounds.

“Diversity is important to us in the FBI,” said FBI Pittsburgh Special Agent in Charge Mike Nordwall. “It’s critical to our effectiveness. I’m a big believer in the idea that we all make better decisions when we have the benefit of different perspectives. Everybody brings something to the table, which makes us stronger and more effective as an organization.”
