Armed Takeover Robbery of Wells Fargo Bank Branch in Wilmington, Delaware Yesterday

The FBI’s Philadelphia and Baltimore Divisions are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subjects responsible for the armed robbery Thursday of the Wells Fargo Bank branch located at 814 Philadelphia Pike in Wilmington, Delaware.

These subjects are believed to have ties to Philadelphia and are considered armed and dangerous.

At approximately 3:02 p.m., the subjects entered the bank. As Subject #1 (dark sweatshirt) approached two tellers and demanded money at gunpoint, Subject #2 (tan coat) ordered customers and employees to the floor and guarded the door. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the subjects fled the area of the bank.

Subject #1 is described as a black male in his 20s, tall, thin build, with facial hair. He wore a dark-colored Champion hooded sweatshirt, and dark-colored sweatpants, knit cap, gloves, and sunglasses; his weapon was a black handgun.

Subject #2 is described as a black male, average height, stocky build. He wore a tan coat over a hooded denim jacket and dark-colored shirt, dark-colored pants, and gloves; and a dark-colored mask covering most of his face. He carried a silver handgun.

Anyone with information about this robbery or these subjects is urged to call the FBI at 215-418-4000. There is a reward for information leading to these subjects’ capture; tipsters can remain anonymous.
