Armed Robbery of Tompkins VIST Bank Branch in Whitpain Township

The Whitpain Township Police Department and the FBI are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the armed robbery today of the Tompkins VIST bank branch located at 1380 Skippack Pike, Centre Square, Pennsylvania.

At approximately 8:15 a.m., the subject entered the bank, displayed a handgun, and demanded money from a teller. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled the area of the bank on foot. He was last seen heading in the direction of Skippack Pike and Route 202.

The subject is described as a white male in his 40s to 50s, approximately 6’1” tall, slim build with a small potbelly; he wore a dark blue hooded coat, light-colored dress shirt, and a bandana or mask covering part of his face. His weapon is described as a black handgun. Surveillance photos from the robbery are below.
