Applications Now Being Accepted for 2023 Future Agents in Training—Teen Academy

NORFOLK—Calling all high school students! FBI Norfolk is now accepting applications for its next Future Agents in Training (FAIT) Teen Academy Class. This year the program will run from July 17 to July 21, 2023, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

FAIT gives high school students the opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at the FBI, local law enforcement, and the local prosecutor’s office. During their time in the program, participants will watch a SWAT demonstration, learn how evidence is collected at crime scenes, and will get a better understanding of how the FBI combats terrorism, civil rights violations, white collar crimes, and more. Students will also hear from special agents, intelligence analysts, and professional staff to get a better understanding of the different career tracks the FBI has to offer.

Curriculum will be taught at both the FBI Norfolk Field Office and Hampton Police Department.

To apply, a student must:

  • Be a United States Citizen
  • Currently be enrolled in an accredited high school
  • Be between the ages of 16 to 18
  • Hold a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Complete two required essays

Applications for the FAIT program are due by Dec. 31, 2022, and can be found here.
