FBI Offers Reward for Information in Post Office Robbery

BRONX, NY—FBI New York/NYPD Joint Violent Crimes Task Force is asking for the public to help identify a man who robbed a post office and assaulted an employee in the Bronx on September 6, 2022. The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest in the case.

Investigators say the robber parked in front of the Post Office at 1163 Castle Hill Road, and then followed a Postal employee into the building just after 7 a.m. He stole a large sum of money, and then drove away in a white Honda Odyssey van. Investigators were able to get surveillance video of a partial NY state license plate, with the last four numbers—6615. There were also small white shoes hanging from the rear-view mirror of the van.

Anyone with information about the robber or the robbery is asked to call the FBI New York at 212-384-1000, or the NYPD at 800-577-TIPS. The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 leading to an arrest in the investigation.
