Whitney Bank Located at 3740 Elysian Fields Robbed

On March 31 at approximately 10:20 a.m., a robbery occurred at the Whitney Bank branch located at 3740 Elysian Fields Avenue in New Orleans, Louisiana 70122.

The suspect entered the location and handed the teller a demand note. The subject left the bank with an undetermined amount of U.S. currency.

The suspect is described as a black male between 20-30 years old, approximately 5’ 4”-5’ 8” tall, with a dark complexion, medium build, and short dreadlocks. He was wearing a short sleeved grey and white T-shirt bearing the phrase “Born to Fly” and dark-colored pants. He then exited the Whitney Bank on Elysian Fields Avenue and headed West on Milton Street.

The Metropolitan Orleans Bank Security Association (MOBSA) is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of this bank robber.
