Regions Bank Located at 541 Chartres Street Robbed

Today, at approximately 1:35 p.m., a robbery occurred at the Regions Bank branch located at 541 Chartres Street in New Orleans, Louisiana, 70130.

The suspect entered the location and handed the teller a demand note. The subject left the bank with an undetermined amount of U.S. currency.

The suspect is described as a black male in his late-30s to early-40s, approximately 5’10” to 6’0” tall, with a slim to medium build. He was wearing a dark-colored baseball hat (possibly bearing a Miami Heat insignia), dark colored sweatshirt, dark-colored jeans, and wire-rimmed glasses. He then fled the bank on foot in an unknown direction.

The FBI New Orleans Division believes that this robbery was also conducted by the same person that committed the Liberty Bank robbery on October 22, 2015, inside the Rouse’s supermarket located at 6600 Franklin Avenue in New Orleans, Louisiana, 70126.

The Metropolitan Orleans Bank Security Association (MOBSA) is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of this bank robber.
