St. John Sheriff Mike Tregre announced that the St. John Sheriff’s Office assisted the FBI May 3, 2016, in apprehending Matthew Vicknair, 30, of LaPlace. St. John detectives obtained a judicial warrant, and, on May 3, 2016, at about 2:30 p.m., detectives arrested Matthew Vicknair without incident at his place of employment in Reserve. The arrest was made after a lengthy federal investigation, involving the FBI New Orleans Division’s Violent Crimes Against Children/Human Trafficking Task Force. Vicknair was charged by the St. John Parish District Attorney’s Office with six counts of possession of child pornography under the age of 13.
