FBI Investigating Whitney Bank Robbery Located at 430 Charter Street

NEW ORLEANS—The FBI New Orleans Division is requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the individual who robbed the Whitney Bank, 430 Chartres St., New Orleans, LA. 70130.

On Monday, April 24, 2017, at approximately 3:00 p.m., a lone white male entered the Whitney Bank, approached the teller counter, presented a teller note announcing that he had a weapon, and demanded money. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the robber fled the bank.

The robber is described as a white male, approximately 6’0” tall, between 30—40 years old, with a medium build and brown hair. He wore a black baseball hat, a black t-shirt, and had a black backpack.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Federal Bureau of Investigation at 504-816-3000 or Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111. The Metropolitan Orleans Bank Security Association (MOBSA) is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of this bank robber.
