FBI Investigating a Bank Takeover and Robbery at the First NBC in Kentwood, Louisiana

NEThe FBI New Orleans Division’s Violent Crime Task Force and the Kentwood Police Department are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the individual who robbed the First NBC Bank branch located at 606 Avenue G. in Kentwood, Louisiana, 70444.

On Monday, November 21, 2016, at approximately 9:45 a.m., a lone male entered the First NBC Bank, pointed a gun in the air and ordered everyone to the floor, and then proceeded to rob the bank. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the robber fled the bank.

The robber is described as a black male, approximately 6’ 0” to 6’ 1” tall, estimated to be late 20s to mid-30s in age, with a medium complexion, and weighing approximately 180 to 200 pounds. He wore a black ski mask, a gray “Frogg Toggs” rainsuit, sunglasses, and black gloves.

The Metropolitan Orleans Bank Security Association (MOBSA) is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of this bank robber.
