FBI Agents Arrest David M. Shearod, an Alleged Serial Bank Robber, in New Orleans East

Today, at approximately 10:30 a.m., the FBI New Orleans Division’s Violent Crimes Task Force arrested David M. Shearod and charged him with two counts of bank robbery.

The FBI New Orleans Division has reason to believe that David M. Shearod is connected to two bank robberies within the New Orleans area over the last several months.

The first robbery David M. Shearod is alleged to have committed occurred on October 22, 2015, at the Liberty Bank, inside the Rouse’s supermarket, located at 6600 Franklin Ave, New Orleans. Allegedly, he then committed a second bank robbery on December 1, 2015, at the Regions Bank, located at 541 Chartres St., New Orleans.

This matter is being prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office-Eastern District of Louisiana.
