Baton Rouge Man Arrested by FBI and Charged with Attempted Production of Child Pornography

BATON ROUGE—On Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at approximately 7:00 a.m., Michael Esposito of Baton Rouge, was arrested by the FBI Baton Rouge Resident Agency Office with the assistance of East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, for Attempted Production of Child Pornography.

After a joint investigation with the Baton Rouge Police Department, the FBI arrested Michael Esposito, White Male, age 45, in East Baton Rouge Parish. Esposito was charged under Title 18—2251(a) Attempted Production of Child Pornography.

Esposito was subsequently transported to the United States Federal Courthouse in Baton Rouge and released to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.

This matter will be prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office – Middle District of Louisiana.

The allegations contained in this release are merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
