Advisory: Emergency Preparedness Exercise to Take Place at Atlantic City International Airport

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP—Federal Bureau of Investigation, Federal Air Marshall Service, New Jersey State Police, and the Atlantic City International Airport (ACY) Fire Department will conduct an Emergency Preparedness Exercise on September 4th and 5th in the vicinity of the airport. Nearby residents and motorists should expect to see increased emergency activity during the hours of the exercise, which will run from approximately 9 a.m. Wednesday through 4 p.m. Thursday.

No local roads will be closed, although increased emergency vehicle activity may occur during the drill on Tilton Road (CR 563) between Delilah and Wrangleboro/S. Pomona Roads, as well as the Tilton Road-Delilah Road intersection. The airport will remain open for business.

The exercise will evaluate the emergency plans for the airport with the federal, state, and local agencies that would be directly involved in the event of an actual aircraft incident.
