Man Wanted for Bank Robbery—FBI Offers Reward
PATERSON, NJ—FBI Newark and the Paterson Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man wanted in connection with a bank robbery. Investigators say he robbed the PNC Bank at 191 Market Street in Paterson, New Jersey, on January 24, 2024. The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.
Investigators say the suspect went into the bank at around 9:30 a.m. and passed a note to the teller demanding money. He took off on foot with the cash and was last seen around North 1st Street immediately after the robbery. No one in the bank was hurt. Witnesses say he was wearing a New York Yankees baseball cap and had medium-length dreadlocks or braids.
Anyone with information about the suspect, or the robbery, is asked to call the Newark FBI at 973-792-3000, or the Paterson Police Department at 973-321-1120, and they can also submit a tip online at tips.fbi.gov. They could receive a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.
