Ten Most Wanted Fugitive Shanika S. Minor Captured
The Federal Bureau of Investigation today announced the capture of Ten Most Wanted Fugitive Shanika S. Minor. Minor was apprehended by the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office at a motel near the airport in Fayetteville, North Carolina, in the early morning hours of July 1, 2016. Minor was added to the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, for her alleged involvement in first-degree intentional homicide, first-degree intentional homicide of an unborn child, and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution. Minor was the 10th female to be placed on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list.
Early this morning, at 1:28 a.m. the FBI Public Access Line (1-800-CALL-FBI) contacted the Cumberland County Emergency Communications Center to inform them of information received regarding the possible whereabouts of FBI Top Ten Fugitive Shanika S. Minor. The caller said Minor was staying at a motel near the airport in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
Cumberland County sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene, located Minor, and took her into custody without incident. Minor was transported to the Cumberland County Detention Center where she is being held.
