FBI Miami Hosts Tri-County Students for Teen Night

On Friday, FBI Miami hosted more than 60 high school students from Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties for an evening of briefings and activities intended to inform the students about career opportunities with the FBI.

The program was a continuation of activities conducted earlier in the month for National Community Policing week.

The three-hour program began with an introduction from Special Agent in Charge George L. Piro and included a briefing and video about the FBI; followed by a pizza dinner; a building tour; and presentations from the Evidence Response Team, Hazardous Evidence Response Team, and the SWAT team.

The highlight of the evening was a mock surveillance exercise conducted by the students.

National Community Policing Week, October 2 to 8, included a variety of events throughout South Florida designed to strengthen the bonds of trust and respect between law enforcement and the communities they serve.
