FBI Announces the Arrest of an Individual Believed to Be Known as the Shaky Bandit

The FBI is announcing the arrest of Brandon Venditti, 22, of Weston, Florida, on federal bank robbery charges. Venditti is believed to be the “Shaky Bandit".

Today, October 18, 2017, at approximately 5 p.m., following a reported bank robbery in Collier County, Florida, Collier County Sherriff’s deputies, Florida Highway Patrol troopers, and FBI agents located a car that was identified as a possible get-a-way vehicle used in the robbery. The car would not readily pull over and eventually crashed around mile marker 91 on Alligator Alley (I-75). At that time, Venditti surrendered. Another individual in the car was also arrested and placed into state custody.

There were no injuries to Venditti, law enforcement, or the general public. There were no shots fired.

Venditti’s initial appearance is anticipated to be tomorrow in Federal court in the Middle District of Florida, Ft. Myers, Florida. The complaint detailing the charges can be found in PACER in due course.
