The FBI announces the arrest of Luis Ernesto Garcia Vazquez, 25, of Miami, Florida, on federal bank robbery charges for his alleged involvement in the robbery of an Ocean Bank branch at 14651 SW 56th Street, Miami, Florida, on December 24, 2018.

Vazquez was arrested December 29, 2018 without incident.

Vazquez is in federal custody. His initial appearance is anticipated to be in federal court in Miami. The complaint detailing the charges can be found in PACER in due course.

The Miami Dade Police Department, Doral Police Department, Coral Springs Police Department, Fort Lauderdale Police Department, Miami Police Department, the South Florida Violent Crime Task Force, and the FBI continue their investigation.
