The FBI announces the arrest of Preston Alexander McWaters, 25, of Athens, Georgia, today for his alleged involvement with multiple hoax bomb threats made against schools, a business, and an airport in Palm Beach County, Florida.

McWaters was arrested without incident by the FBI earlier today in Athens, Georgia. A federal criminal complaint will be in PACER later today. No picture(s)/mug shot are available.

He is facing federal charges and is expected to make his initial appearance in federal court in Macon, Georgia.

The FBI, Palm Beach School Police Department, Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office, West Palm Beach Police Department, and the Jupiter Police Department continue their investigation.
