FBI Announces an Arrest for Alleged Aircraft Sabotage

The FBI announces the arrest of Abdul-Majeed Marouf Ahmed Alani, 60, of Tracy, California, for his alleged involvement in the sabotage of a commercial airline aircraft.

Ahmed Alani was arrested without incident by the FBI and the FBI Miami Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) at Miami International Airport the morning or Thursday, September 5.

His initial appearance is anticipated to be September 6 in Miami federal court.

The complaint detailing the charges can be found in PACER under the Southern District of Florida.

The Miami Dade Police Department (Airport Division), Federal Air Marshal Service, Customs and Border Protection, the FBI, and the FBI Miami JTTF continue their investigation.
