Stanley Simms, 53, of Sunrise, Florida, was returned to Florida yesterday, May 8, 2019, from Jamaica and taken into federal custody for charges relating to the possession of child pornography.

A federal arrest warrant was issued for Simms on June 7, 2013, in the United States District Court, Southern District of Florida, Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Simms had his initial appearance in Miami federal court today, May 9, 2019, and is scheduled for a detention hearing next week.

Simms was apprehended in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, by Jamaican Authorities and was deported back to the United States, courtesy of the U.S. Marshal’s Service.
