Summer Special Agent Recruiting Event

Special Agents bring diverse backgrounds and a wealth of skills to the FBI mission, including the mental acuity, physical stamina, and moral compass required to protect the nation. This is a career where leadership and initiative are essential. 

Join us on July 27 for our Summer Special Agent Recruiting Event to learn more about the Special Agent career path. Speak with Special Agents working a variety of crime investigations, members of specialty teams, and more. 

Due to COVID restrictions, a small number of individuals will be invited to attend in person. However, other qualified candidates will be able to attend virtually.

Applying to be a Special Agent 

FBI special agents are required to adhere to strict standards of conduct and exemplify the FBI’s Core Competencies, including:

  • Collaboration

  • Communication

  • Flexibility/Adaptability

  • Initiative

  • Leadership

  • Organizing and Planning

  • Problem Solving/Judgment

The open-ended questions are designed to understand your background and fit with these competencies. As such, you are strongly encouraged to provide as much information as possible and use the Situation, Action, Result format to describe the situation, the actions you took, and the resulting outcomes.
