Man Sought for Various Crimes Against Children While Living in Manhattan Beach, Believed to Have Fled to the Philippines

A man wanted for allegedly molesting minors in Manhattan Beach in the past is a fugitive and is being sought by the FBI and the Manhattan Beach Police Department.

On October 9, 2015, Edgardo Feralin Dormido, Jr., was charged in the Superior Court of California for the County of Los Angeles with five felony counts, to include two counts of oral copulation or sexual penetration with a child 10 years old or younger; one count of a forcible lewd act upon a child, and two counts of a lewd act upon a child.

When attempts to locate Dormido in California were unsuccessful, detectives with the Manhattan Beach Police Department requested assistance from the FBI.

On June 22, 2022, Dormido, Jr. was charged federally with Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution by the United States District Court, Central District of California, and a federal warrant was issued for his arrest.

Attempts to locate Dormido have been unsuccessful. The FBI is releasing a photo of Dormido in order to generate leads as to Dormido’s whereabouts.

Anyone with information should contact their local FBI office or nearest American Embassy. Reward money may be available and anyone providing a tip may remain anonymous.

Dormido is believed to be 48 years old with brown eyes and black hair. His height is estimated at 5’4” and he weighed approximately 130 pounds when last seen.
