FBI and Alcoa Police Investigate Afternoon Bank Robbery

The FBI’s Safe Streets Task Force and the Alcoa Police Department are seeking information about the person who robbed the Capital Bank late Wednesday afternoon.

At approximately 4:30 p.m., a man entered the Alcoa branch of the Capital Bank located on Joule Road.

The robber passed a note to the teller demanding money. The teller complied and put the money in a brown bag the suspect brought with him then fled the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect stands approximately 6 feet tall and weighs approximately 180 pounds. The suspect was soft spoken and wore his hair in dreadlocks.
