FBI Seeking Information on Kidnapping Suspects

On January 22, 2015, Kansas City, Missouri Police Department was notified telephonically regarding a possible kidnapping in the 12200 block of Prospect in Kansas City, Missouri. The caller stated she was departing her residence at approximately 9:15 a.m. and noticed her husband’s work van was still located in the driveway. The caller stated her husband departs for works at 5:30 a.m. The vehicle’s keys and her husband’s lunch pail were still located in close proximity to the vehicle. The Kansas City, Missouri Police Department responded to the residence where there were signs of a physical altercation in the driveway, and the family’s personal vehicle, a maroon, full-size Chevy van, was not located at the residence. Additionally, it was confirmed that the caller’s husband had not arrived for work that day. At that point, Kansas City, Missouri Police Department initiated an investigation into a carjacking and possible kidnapping and notified the FBI.

The victim was able to escape after a struggle with his assailants and was recovered near St. Louis, Missouri. The suspects fled in the victim’s vehicle, which was later recovered in Bardstown, Kentucky, on the Bluegrass Parkway (Kentucky Hwy 9002) near mile marker 21.
