FBI Agents arrested Justin Griffing, 33, of Gulfport, Mississippi, Tuesday morning on charges of possessing a stolen boat.

Griffing is charged with violations of 18 U.S. Code 2313, receipt of a stolen vehicle in interstate commerce, and 18 U.S. Code 2312, interstate transportation of a stolen vehicle. Griffing was indicted by a federal grand jury.

On July 14, 2014, FBI agents seized a stolen 34-foot Fountain boat with three 300 horsepower engines from Griffing’s residence in Gulfport. Based on information from the Fountain Corporation, it was determined that the hull number on the boat had been changed. Further investigation determined the boat had been stolen from Belle Chase, Louisiana, in June 2012.
