FBI Releases Photos After Take-Over Capital One Bank Robbery

The FBI Violent Crime Task Force needs the public’s help to capture an armed and dangerous bank robber. The gunman held several bank tellers at gun point earlier today during a robbery of the Capital One Bank located at 1520 West Sam Houston Parkway South in Houston, Texas. If you can identify this armed bank robber, a Crime Stoppers reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to his arrest.

At 2:59 p.m., the armed robber entered the bank and pulled deposit slips to buy some time until the last customer left the bank. Once the robber was alone with the bank employees, he confronted multiple tellers at gunpoint and verbally demanded cash from each of them. He placed the cash inside a medium-sized black paper gift bag that he brought with him to the bank. No one was physically hurt during the robbery. The robber exited the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash inside the black gift bag.

The bank robber was described as a black male in his late 50s. He wore a dark sweatshirt, dark pants, dark tennis shoes, mirrored sunglasses, and a light-colored ball cap with a dark rim. He carried a black semi-automatic handgun and a medium black paper gift bag to carry out the cash.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to $5,000 for information leading to the charging and arrest of this robber.
