Paul Abbate, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Detroit Field Office, announced that on Tuesday, August 18, 2015, Eric Junod (38 years old) was arrested by the FBI Detroit Field Office, Oakland County Resident Agency on charges of distribution, possession, and receipt of child pornography pursuant to a federal criminal complaint. Mr. Junod had his initial appearance earlier today in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.

The information pertaining to Mr. Junod’s arrest is being provided to the public as a safety precaution. Mr. Junod used an online child pornography website to facilitate his crimes. As stated in the affidavit in support of the arrest warrant issued for Mr. Junod, he has admitted to downloading, trading, and possessing child pornography; engaging in sexually explicit online conversations with minor children; and performing sexual acts upon himself on-camera and online.

This was a joint investigation by the FBI Detroit Field Office, Oakland County Resident Agency; the Troy Police Department; and the Holly Police Department.
