Bank Robbery Press Release for 1/5/18 and 9/25/17

The Englewood and Denver Police Departments and the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force are investigating bank robberies.

During the September 2017 robbery the suspect presented a demand note to a bank teller. The suspect was described as a white male, blond hair, average build, wearing a bright green jacket, and sunglasses. The suspect left the premises on foot in an unknown direction.

During the January 2018 robbery the suspect presented a demand note to a bank teller. The suspect was described as a white male, 30 to 40 years old, 5'9"-6'0" tall, slim build, and a broken front tooth. The suspect was wearing a green and white flannel long sleeve shirt, black beanie cap, white sunglasses, an orange construction vest, blue jeans, and work boots. The suspect fled the premises on foot in an eastbound direction.

Bank robbery is punishable by a 20-year prison sentence for each offense and increases if a dangerous weapon is used in the commission of the crime.

The FBI continues to provide financial institutions with the best practices for security to make them less vulnerable to robberies.
