FBI Columbia Continues Elder Fraud Initiative in 2023
COLUMBIA, SC—The FBI Columbia field office is once again accepting speaker requests for its elder fraud initiative.
The initiative, which launched last year, was designed to provide South Carolina’s senior population with presentations on the many forms of financial fraud that is geared to target them.
During the presentations, trained FBI personnel provide information on various fraud schemes, including romance, lottery, and sweepstakes scams, to name a few.
The FBI asks that requests for speakers be for groups of 25 people or more to help spread general awareness.
Those who are interested in learning about this initiative and would like to receive a presentation may use the speaker request form located on the FBI Columbia website, https://forms.fbi.gov/columbia-fbi-speaker-presenter-request-form. There is no cost associated with this initiative.
