Man Taken Into Custody for Receiving and Distributing Child Pornography

The Cleveland Division of the FBI, Canton Resident Agency, the United States Attorney’s Office, Northern District, and the Canton Police Department announce the arrest of Andrew Daughtery, 27 years old.

In mid-August 2017, it was determined that an individual utilizing a specific IP address was downloading child pornography. The IP address was subpoenaed from the provider resulting in a physical address and owner’s name being obtained.

On November 14, 2017, a federal search warrant was executed at the residence of Andrew Daughtery in Canton, Ohio. Daughtery was ultimately placed into custody by the Canton Police Department and charged with pandering obscentities involving a minor.

On November 16, 2017, Daughtery was transferred to federal custody and will have an initial appearance for receiving and distributing child pornography at 2:30 p.m. in United States Magistrate Judge Kathleen Burke’s courtroom.

A complaint is only a charge and is not evidence of guilt. The defendant is entitled to a fair trial in which it will be the government’s burden to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
