The Federal Bureau of Investigation, Cleveland Division, Toledo Resident Agency, announces the arrest of fugitive Don Woodson Ellis, Jr. last night, August 20, 2018, at approximately 10:30 p.m. in Detroit, Michigan.

Investigative efforts by Violent Crime/Safe Streets Task Forces from the FBI’s Toledo Resident Agency and Detroit Field Office resulted in placing Ellis on 8 mile in Detroit. Ellis was taken into custody by agents without incident after he exited a hotel.

Ellis is federally charged with escape from the Lucas County Corrections Center and will have an initial appearance in federal court in the Northern District of Ohio at 12:30 p.m. today, August 21, 2018.
