FBI Charlotte and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department to Host Women’s Recruitment Event

The FBI Charlotte Field Office and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) will host a recruitment event for women in law enforcement. The three-hour-long, event is designed to be highly interactive. Women who attend will have the opportunity to speak one-on-one to women who work in a variety of positions, both sworn and professional staff.
- When: Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- Where: Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police and Fire Training Academy, 1770 Shopton Road Charlotte, North Carolina.
- The event will run from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.: Mingle, optional registration session
- 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.: Panel discussion featuring women from both agencies in the auditorium. Audience members can ask questions
- 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.: Speak with recruiters, agents, detectives, supervisors, and a variety of professional staff employees.
Attendees will see hands-on demonstrations from the FBI Evidence Response Team, SWAT and CMPD crime scene technicians, bomb squad, K-9, lake patrol, school resource officers, community outreach, and others. It is important that we represent the people we are sworn to protect and serve. The better we reflect our communities, the better we can protect them. Applying to be a Special Agent
FBI special agents are required to adhere to strict standards of conduct and exemplify the FBI’s Core Competencies, including:
