The process to become an FBI Linguist is not easy, but your hard work could lead to a career like no other in the FBI.
Linguists work with a team to defend the country against foreign counterintelligence threats, terrorism, cyber crimes, and other federal crimes.
All FBI Linguists begin their careers as contract linguists. Contract linguists translate documents or audio into English, serve as interpreters for investigative interviews, and provide translation during visits by foreign dignitaries. The possibilities are as wide as the sense of accomplishment.
