Updated December 3, 2014: This suspect was apprehended on December 2. Press release

The Charlotte Division of the FBI, Huntersville Police Department, High Point Police Department, Asheboro Police Department, and Lexington Police Department are seeking assistance to identify an unknown suspect believed to be responsible for robbing three banks and one convenience store in North Carolina. The below surveillance photos are from robberies at the following locations:

  • Rushco Convenience Store, 1701 Cotton Grove Road, Lexington, North Carolina, October 23, 2014.
  • Bank of America, 115 West Fairfield Road, High Point, North Carolina, October 27, 2014.
  • First Bank, 1427 North Fayetteville Street, Asheboro, North Carolina, November 5, 2014.
  • Sun Trust Bank, 9617 Holly Point Drive, Huntersville, North Carolina, November 18, 2014.

The robber is described as a white male, tall (over 6’0”), and slender with a light beard. He was wearing glasses and appeared to have a bandage of some sort on the left side of his neck. It is unknown at this time if the bandage is there to cover up an identifying mark such as a tattoo or if the individual had some sort of wound. In each robbery, he wore the same clothing, blue jeans, a white T-shirt, a gray and white striped hoodie jacket, a camouflage ball cap (blue, green, and white in color), and dark-colored tennis shoes. In each robbery, the suspect displayed a black revolver.

The Greensboro FBI Safe Streets Task Force, Huntersville Police Department, High Point Police Department, Asheboro Police Department, and Lexington Police Department are involved in a joint investigation on this case. Anyone with information is asked to call FBI Charlotte at 704-672-6100, the High Point Police Crimestoppers number at 336-889-4000, Asheboro Crimestoppers at 336-672-7463, or the Huntersville Police Department at 704-464-5400.
