FBI Atlanta Arrests Fugitive Charged in Double Murder

ATLANTA—David J. LeValley, special agent in charge, FBI Atlanta Field Office, in conjunction with Chief Erika Shields, Atlanta Police Department, announce the arrest of a suspect in a September 2017 double homicide.

Joshua Routh, age 21, of Atlanta, Georgia, was arrested early this morning by members of the FBI led Atlanta Metro Major Offender’s (AMMO) Task Force along with the Atlanta Police Department at a location on Mabros Industrial Parkway, Ellenwood, Georgia.

Routh was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant charging him with Homicide for a double homicide that occurred on September 10, 2017 at 1083 Westview Drive, SW, Atlanta, Georgia.

Routh is being detained at the Fulton County Jail.

The above are merely allegations and the public should be reminded that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
