FBI and Doraville Police Department Seek Armed Bank Robber

FBI Atlanta Special Agent in Charge (SAC) J. Britt Johnson and Doraville Police Chief John F. King request the public’s assistance in identifying a man who robbed the NOA Bank at 5938 Buford Highway in Doraville, Georgia on August 24, 2016.

At around 1:50 p.m. on Wednesday the man walked into the bank armed with a black handgun. He was wearing black T-shirt, black pants, and a blue bandana covering his face.

An outside video surveillance camera captured the suspect walking up to the bank before he put the bandana on. We are confident that someone who knows the suspect will be able to identify him after watching the video. He is described as a black male, skinny build, age 18-30, and 5’6” to 5’7” tall.

The suspect left the bank on foot and was last seen running across railroad tracks that run parallel to Buford Highway behind the bank. He ran into a wooded area toward an apartment complex off of Winters Park Dr. in Doraville.

Anyone who recognizes the armed bank robber or has information regarding this matter should contact the FBI Atlanta Field Office at (404) 679-9000 or contact Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS (8477).
