Armed Bank Robbery Suspect Sought by FBI Arrested

Update:

The FBI announces that the suspect in these robberies has been taken into custody by Gwinnett County Police and is facing federal bank robbery charges.

Eric Letman, 55, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, was arrested Friday, October 30, 2020, when a teller at a bank in Dacula noticed a suspicious vehicle driving around the bank. The teller recognized it as the suspect vehicle from news reports last Wednesday on four previous robberies.

The teller called 911 and Gwinnett County Police responded and stopped the vehicle. The suspect was taken into custody and inside the car, investigators found evidence connected to the four bank robberies in question.

The FBI would like to thank the observant teller, the Gwinnett County Police Department for making the arrest, and the news media for publicizing the bank robberies.
