FBI Atlanta Arrests Fugitive Wanted for Murder of Infant
ATLANTA—FBI Atlanta arrested Zashawntray Pickett, 28, of Rockford Illinois, who was wanted by the Rockford Police Department for the murder of his girlfriend's 10-month old baby, Tre’Shawn Anderson.
On October 29, 2024, Pickett was charged with first-degree murder after the baby was pronounced dead at Lurie’s children’s hospital in Chicago, Illinois.
The FBI located Pickett in Atlanta, Georgia, in the early morning of November 2, and with the assistance of the Atlanta and Dekalb police departments, he was taken into custody without incident.
Pickett also had six outstanding warrants including domestic battery, stalking, criminal trespassing, burglary, and criminal damage to property.
